International Coffee Day: 1st October 2018

International Coffee Day, run by The International Coffee Organisation, happens on October 1st.  This year’s theme is ‘Women in Coffee’; celebrating the role of women in the whole coffee process – from planting, to processing, to brewing, and of course, drinking.  They want to highlight the need for equality across the coffee sector with events and awareness raising.

You can take part in International Coffee Day by voting for your favourite photo paying homage to women in coffee here:

I usually buy Colombian or Peruvian ‘Specially Selected’ roast coffee from Aldi as it’s certified by the Rainforest Alliance, and I like to buy products from Latin American when I can.  I tend to drink it with unsweetened almond milk, in a large, brightly coloured mug!

What’s your favourite coffee and how do you take it?
